Event description

The Departments of Education and of Employment and Workplace Relations are seeking feedback on a proposed National Skills Passport. The Universities Accord Panel addressed the proposal in its Interim Report after it was first canvassed in the Employment White Paper. The departments are asking for feedback on the proposal to capture and present workers’ skills and attainments to employers and provide guidance on further study options.

EVENT DETAILS

The consultation paper notes the Passport “has the potential to help with education and employment decisions. It could help workers promote their qualifications, upskill and reskill, and help businesses find staff with the right skills. People who participate could view and share evidence of their skills and qualifications. A National Skills Passport could also connect with other relevant services, make life easier for employers, employees and jobseekers, and help people upskill and reskill.”

You can read the consultation paper here.
