National Tree Day 2023

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join your local community to celebrate National Tree Day this year, with a range of family-friendly activities.

Come along and plant some trees and shrubs, enjoy learning about local snakes and reptiles, learn about healthy waterways, cook marshmallows on a campfire, and meet our local emergency services and wildlife rescuers.

The planting is part of the Planting Trees for the Queen’s Jubilee project and is a collaboration between the City of Whittlesea, Whittlesea Scouts and Whittlesea Landcare. The project aims to enhance the biodiversity value of the reserve through which Bruce’s Creek and Plenty River run.

There will be a sausage sizzle and coffee van on-site to keep you full and warm!

Conditions may be wet and muddy - wear appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes.

Please leave your dogs at home.

This event will be held a few minutes north of the main Whittlesea township. On-street parking.

Bookings encouraged.
