Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

Join us for National Tree Day and help establish native plants that have been carefully selected to help mitigate flooding, support better water quality, increase the health of our waterways, benefit local biodiversity, provide habitat for native animals and stabilise creek banks by using a diversity of local species.

🧤

Anyone can support the health of our creeks and make Wollondilly an even better place by coming down and helping our Bushcare volunteer group at Stonequarry Creek, Hume Oval, Picton.

All tools, plants and guidance are provided on the day and it is an enjoyable morning out for the whole family.

The site is located on the edge of Hume Oval along the banks of Stonequarry Creek. Look for the Bushcare sign

There will be a free sausage sizzle for all that attend cooked by One Stop Community Assistance.

🏡

You can also help by planting more natives at home – check out our Robin Davies Wollondilly Community Nursery. Wollondilly residents are entitled to 5 free plants a quarter from our nursery but residents doing environmental restoration work like erosion control or planting creek lines can get more! The Robin Davies Wollondilly Community Nursery is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 2pm and is located on Wonga Rd Picton behind the animal shelter.
