Event description
Welcome to National Tree Day - a community tree planting event.
Come and plant native trees and wildflowers with our conservation team and emergency services crew and help our local plants and animals
thrive.
What to bring and what to wear
Feel free to bring along your keep cup and cash for coffee and sausage sizzle.
Conditions may be wet and muddy so make sure you wear appropriate clothing for wet, outdoor conditions and wear sturdy, closed shoes.
Bring your own gardening gloves - we will provide some gloves, but there may not be enough for everyone who wants a pair so bring your own if you can.
Location and how to get there
We'll be planting trees in Brunton Park Conservation area, meet us at 176W Everard Road Mernda.
There is a bicycle path along Everard Road so if you can, come cycling to the event. If taking public transport, from Mernda Station take the 389 Bus to the corner of Everard Rd and Pearson Rd, then walk approx 700 metres to the end of Everard Road. If driving, there is street parking available along Everard Road, Eldorado Lp or Kerabee Drive.
