Join us this National Tree Day to help rehabilitate the Carrickalinga foredunes and build habitat for endangered Hooded Plovers as part of the Our Plover Coast Project supported by Green Adelaide & Landscapes Hills & Fleurieu. The specific plant species chosen for this site have also been identified as more resistant to fire as part of the Fire Wise Project being run by the Fleurieu Environment Centre with support from the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife and has received grant funding from the Australian Government through the Preparing Australian Communities local stream. We also like to thank the District Council of Yankalilla for preparing the site for revegetation.
What to Bring: Please come prepared for the weather conditions on the day. If you have gardening gloves please bring them along (we will have some available). We will also gather for a hot lunch at the Fleurieu Environment Centre after we finish planting. So please respond with an RSVP for lunch and any dietary restrictions when you register.
