National Tree Day Planting
Event description
Celebrate National Tree Day by participating in a tree planting session on campus!
Join the University's Sustainability & Grounds teams to plant native trees and shrubs to enhance campus biodiversity. The plantings will run for two hour sessions with refreshments provided for all attendees.
To ensure as many people can participate, please only select ONE of the session slots when registering:
Session #1: 10am-12pm
Session #2: 11am-1pm
Session #3: 12pm-2pm
Gloves and planting equipment will be provided. However, please wear closed-toed shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle.
**👀✅ Green Impact participants can also complete the following toolkit actions (teams/individuals):
UOM042/UOM-I35: Participate in tree planting for National Tree Day.
U0M069/UOM-I03: Attend an event run by the Sustainability team.
UOM003/UOM-I01: Post a picture from today’s event to introduce your Green Impact team. If you are posting on social media, make sure to tag @sustainablecampus and @greenimpactaunz to encourage more people to join the changemaker community!
