National Volunteer Week (NVW) is the annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of the nation's volunteers. This year's NVW theme is Changing Communities. Changing Lives. Considering the changing times we find ourselves in, the theme has never been more relevant. VNQ invites you to virtually join us for a wonderful evening of celebrating and connecting with our local volunteers in North Queensland.
Join VNQ on the Couch May 21
In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to recognise and acknowledge North Queensland's volunteers. So join us Thursday evening May 21st for an hour long event to honour our local volunteers and share their inspiring stories. In between these wonderful stories, we will have a special guest with us to shed some light on mental health wellbeing practices beneficial for all during these times.
So invite your volunteer team, your mates and your family to join the event and watch it together- but apart- through one of the many video chat platforms available. Once registered, we will send regular updates as the event draws closer. We'll make available quarantine virtual party pack guides to help bring everyone together from what iso-snacks to make to throwing your own best-dressed competition and more!
