Bundjalung Native Food Tour & Cooking Experience

The Northern rivers holds a truly unique history, one connected over millennia to the traditional custodians of the land Conscious Ground is located on- Bundjalung Country.

In keeping with its rich first nations heritage, Conscious Grounds and Karkalla Byron Bay offer a unique opportunity to listen to the stories of this land and learn about local indigenous food and culture from proud Bundjalung woman and Native Food Chef, Mindy Woods.

Located just 15 minutes drive from Byron centre, walk alongside Mindy on a guided tour through the Conscious Ground food forrest to learn more about Indigenous native foods and how these native foods and botanicals were traditionally used for food, medicine and as an integral part of Bundjalung culture.

On your three-hour tour and cooking class, you’ll journey through the grounds and learn about the local, seasonal bush foods and participate in a engaging and interactive cooking class featuring recipes from KARKALLA AT HOME all hosted by Australia's most awarded native food chef- Mindy Woods

As this experience takes place on a functioning organic-regenerative farm, appropriate foot ware and attire is required. For your comfort and protection, please wear closed in shoes, bring a hat and wear sunscreen.
