Event description

Native Orchid Presentation                                                                                                                                                                                   Join Brian Trainer in a presentation on the conservation, and pollination of threatened and priority species of native orchids. brian will present slides of these rare and threatened species.

As a volunteer in retirement the appeal of macrophotography and Native Orchids have opened many doors.

This has led to an involvement in Orchid Conservation concentrating on the SW capes region.

Of particular interest have been the Threatened and Priority Orchids. It has been very rewarding to be involved with the ADORP ( Adopt an Orchid ) project, DBCA and Kings Park.

There are so many things that we , as volunteers ,can contribute to ,built on our earlier years and using skills learnt in our working days.

It will be a pleasure to present the journey so far, encompassing Conservation areas such as translocation , orchid pollination and the interaction of burns and climate change.

Looking forward to seeing you there , and hope you will enjoy the photographic marvels of our incredible Native Orchids.
