Indigenous Plant Use and Native Plant Propagation Workshop
Event description
In this back-to-back workshop you will learn from Aaron Chatfield of Dreamtime Connections and conservationist Blake Canackle about Indigenous native plant use and native plant propagation.Â
In Aaron's session, participants will learn about some of the different ways Indigenous people use native plants in this part of the country, as well as learn about some traditional Indigenous tools. During the session, participants will get to try some bushtucker and have a go at the returning boomerang!Â
In Blake's session, participants will learn about different native propagation techniques and how to build and maintain healthy soil for native plants. Participants will then get to put their learnings into practice and propagate their own native plants to take home!Â
Participants are welcome to arrive at the beautiful Jerrabomberra wetlands site from 10am for a 10:30am start.Â
Morning tea will be provided between the workshops, so please RSVP as soon as possible so we are able to cater appropriately. Seating and toilet facilities will also be available.Â
This workshop is being delivered as a part of SEE Change's "Roving Regenerators" community soil regeneration program with funding from the ACT Government.
