Native Seed Collection Workshop

Join us for a hands on workshop led by Geoff Trease from the Leongatha Seed Bank. You may be interested in collecting seed for personal use or to supply to the seed bank.

The session will include: 

• why collect seeds?
• permits required for collecting on public land
• collection techniques
• seed extraction and storage.

We’ll have a hands on session to try out  sifting, cleaning, drying, treating and preparing your seed

We’ll finish with a walk on the rail trail to practice collection techniques and plant identification. Please BYO gloves and secateurs
