Natural Dyes Workshop, West Auckland's RE: MAKER SPACE, Sun 17 Mar, 10am-5pm
Event description
Proudly brought to you by Community Matters and part of EcoFest!
Victoria Martinez Azaro aka La Creative Mamas is hosting a workshop for The ReCreators to teach natural dyeing methods.
In this workshop, we will be covering techniques for Natural Dyeing, which is the oldest way of dyeing.
Our ancestors used to dye all their clothes naturally using plant materials, leaves, roots, bark, and flowers, as well as veggies, fruits, and insects.
Even though natural dyeing takes longer, and the results cannot always be predicted, this method allows you to produce the most magical, intense, and bright colours ever!
This will be an eye-opening and inspiring workshop and we are delighted to have Victoria, from La Creative Mamas working with The ReCreators.
* Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements.
When: Sunday 17 March, 10 am - 5 pm
Where: West Auckland's RE: MAKER SPACE, 6 Westgate Drive, Massey, Auckland 0614
The ReCreators are on a mission to show the world how to reduce and reuse our natural resources. It's easy, fun, creative, and sustainable. Join us on our journey.
