    Event description

The Natural Hazards Atlas team, led by Climate Futures at the University of Tasmania, is holding a series of workshops to consult with stakeholders around the state about their natural hazards information needs. As part of this consultation, the team will also be scoping climate projection requirements.

If you currently manage natural hazards in any capacity, or are interested in providing insights on your organisation's climate projections needs, you are invited to participate in this workshop.

This will be an interesting and interactive event in which you will briefly be introduced to the Natural Hazards Atlas for Tasmania project and the current state of play on climate projections for Tasmania. Then, it will be over to workshop participants. We'll break into smaller groups and work through various options and scenarios to help you think about your organisation's (and your own stakeholders') current and future hazards and climate information needs. The workshop will provide plenty of room for discussion and interaction.

Please bring a laptop or smartphone for digital interactive activities, and be prepared for paper-based activities also.

Morning tea and lunch will also be served.

All participants are requested to read the Participant Information Sheet and Consent Form prior to the workshop. A signed consent form must be returned to the research team prior to the workshop commencing, either via email at: natural.hazards.atlas@utas.edu.au or on the day of the workshop.

As part of the stakeholder consultation, we have also developed a survey. Please take 20 mins to respond to this survey, if possible, prior to joining the workshop. This will help us to build a highly detailed picture of Tasmanian stakeholders' current use of and future needs for hazards and climate data and information. You can access the survey here.

Thank you so much for taking the time to participate in this important process, and we look forward to seeing you at the workshop.
