Nature & Business Symposium 2025

Learn how to take action for nature – from starting out to stepping up to the next level.  

Back by popular demand, this year’s Symposium will focus on helping your business put ideas into action. 

Get the latest on how nature integrates with your business, what nature investment opportunities are available and top tips for collaboration and partnerships. Be inspired by other businesses taking action to preserve and improve biodiversity across their operations and supply chains. 

Be in the room with businesses, community groups, tangata whenua, landowners, NGOs, government, philanthropy groups and finance experts. If you can’t be there in person, book an online ticket to watch the morning speakers.

The day will include presentations, panels, workshops and networking.  

Key topics include:

• Key drivers for businesses to take action for nature

• Leading examples of businesses taking nature positive actions 

• Te ao Māori and mātauranga insights 

• Measuring nature – metrics, data and the latest innovation 

• Working together to close the nature finance gap  

• Creating the business case for nature 

• Accelerating action through meaningful partnership 

The event will conclude with networking drinks. 

Symposium tickets include morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and networking drinks.

Online tickets provide access to watch a livestream of the morning session only.

Field Trips:

Field trips, the day before the Symposium, are an optional extra, costing $75 + booking fee & GST (for bus transport and koha to our regeneration project partners). Pick up and drop off from the SBN office at 48 Emily Place, Auckland Central. There are two field trips to choose from. If there are not enough people for one trip, we might have to cancel it. If that happens to your trip,  you can get a refund or, if there is space, you can join the other trip.If the trips are cancelled due to extreme weather, you can choose to get a refund or donate your fee to nature. All field trips will take place from 12:00PM to 4:30PM. Symposium welcome drinks will be hosted at the SBN office afterwards.
