Nature Art at Mount Rothwell with Visual Artist Sue Anderson
Event description
Join visual artist Sue Anderson for a very special Nature Art event
Walking along the paths around the gentle hills of Mt Rothwell we will stop, observe and sketch areas of interest and follow up with a watercolour painting out in the open or undercover, depending on the weather. Using pencils and watercolour on good quality paper we will be aiming to capture the distinct qualities of the Mt Rothwell environs, the trees, sky, rocks and grasses, and the birds and animals that inhabit the particular spaces. Our observations, sketch notes, and painting will be a reminder of the qualities of this unique landscape and the insights gained from the educators of the incredible conservation and research being undertaken at Mt. Rothwell.
Afternoon tea will be provided.
Please wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
The Swan Bay Environment Association is also organising a guided night walk later on that day. Bookings for this separate event, 'SBEA Night Walk at Mount Rothwell' are on the Humanitix ticketing site. You are welcome to attend both events if you have the stamina!
