Description

In early February the ACT Government released its new Nature Conservation Strategy for consultation.

While this might sound dull, the document outlines a bold and exciting vision for nature conservation in the Territory over the next ten years. This includes the creation of a new nature conservation network, developing stewardship programs, and creating new ways to fund nature restoration.

In this webinar we'll give you a briefing on the strategy, explain how the Conservation Council is responding to it, and provide tips for you if you're intending to write a submission.

The Conservation Council ACT Region is the ACT region’s leading environmental advocacy organisation and hub for community groups. Our mission is to protect nature and create a safe climate future in the ACT and region.

Since 1981 we have been at the centre of the region’s most important wins for wildlife, bushland and communities, encompassing over 40 member groups.

We are a non-profit, non-government organisation that run campaigns, promote and upskill local groups, undertake research, advocate passionately, and engage and inform our community.

Our belief is in the power of collective action to create change.
