Nature Education and the Respect Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers
Event description
Being a Mentor for our youngest citizens is possibly the most important occupation for the well being of our community and the future of our environment. It is in the first few years of their lives that children develop the attitudes and values and the empathy which shape how they will live their lives and the impact they will have on our planet.
This evening will provide the opportunity for early childhood professionals to consider:
Respectful Relationships with children-
Poppy and Max two educators from New Zealand will share how they work with 'The Respect Curriculum" a truly beautiful way to engage with children developed by Toni Christie and Child Space Wellington.
Encounters in the Natural world with young children-
Trudi Bennet from Educated by Nature will discuss including Nature with young children. We know that for some this is a challenge but Trudi can offer ideas and support.
Participants will be greeted with a welcome drink and platters of finger food will be served throughout the evening. A fabulous opportunity for networking at the end of the week at a wonderful Busselton venue by the ocean.
