Nature Explorers at Paradise Creek Nature Park Fall 2024
Event description
Through fun outdoor games, eco-art projects and environmental exploration, kids develop self-esteem, self-confidence and a lifelong love for the natural world at Paradise Creek Nature Park. It’s an hour-and-a-half of outdoor fun, games and hands-on nature education with the Elizabeth River Project – perfect for homeschoolers and remote learners ages 4-8 with a different theme each week.
Dates: Tuesdays, October 22nd, 29th; November 5th and 12th
Time: 10:00am-11:30am
October 22nd - Tree Treasures: Celebrate the many gifts of trees through games, guided walks and nature crafts.
October 29th - Crawly Critters: Learn about the fascinating crawly critters that inhabit the park; from spiders and worms to snails and more. Then create one of your own to take home!
November 5th: Autumn Art: Use your senses to explore the colors, sounds and textures of autumn!
November 12th - Fall Festival: Celebrate the change in season with a fall harvest, active games and fun!
NOTE: You can register for multiple dates after first selecting one date.
Target age: 4-8, Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian
Bring: sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle.
Cost: $15 per session or pay what you can.
