Nature Explorers with New Expanded age groups!
Periwinkle Snails: Youth ages 3 to 8
Tree Frogs: Youth ages 9 to 14
Through outdoor games, hands-on activities, eco-art projects and environmental exploration, kids develop self-esteem, self-confidence and a lifelong love for the natural world at Paradise Creek Nature Park. This program is perfect for homeschool groups and families.
Dates: Fridays April 18th, May 16th, May 30th and June 20th
Time: 10:00am-11:30am
April 18th: Protecting Paradise: Earth Day Exploration at Paradise Creek. Learn about the green features of the park, test your recycling knowledge and create recycled art pieces to take home!
May 16th: Flap, Flutter and Fly: Discover the birds at Paradise Creek. Learn about the common birds seen at the park with identification games, exploration and stewardship activities.
May 30th: Buzz and Bloom: A Pollinator Party! Explore the spring blooms and insects while learning about the importance of protecting our pollinators!
June 20th: Where the Wild Things Live: Explore park habitats! From wetlands and meadows to 100-year old trees, learn about where the wildlife lives in our park.
NOTES: You can register for multiple dates after first selecting one date. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian
Bring: sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle. Nature journals will be provided.
Cost: Suggested minimum donation of $10 per child to support equitable access to our river programming.
