Description
A relaxed two-hour outdoor workshop that will suit beginners and those with some experience of nature journaling. Being 'arty' is not a requirement, all you need is curiosity and enthusiasm for nature.
Meet in the South-West Arts building (next to the Exchange Hotel) for a short introduction.
Then head out to one of Deniliquin's iconic lagoons, a short walk, to be guided through journaling warm-up exercises.
You will then be guided through observation, writing, and journaling techniques to complete at least two journal pages. You will have time to work quietly by yourself as well as some group discussion and reflection.
Extended techniques are available for more experienced journalers.
All materials supplied leaving you free to just turn up.
These sessions are for ages 16+
Contact directly to ask about sessions for younger children.

- But I am not an artist ...

The observation, reflection, writing, and drawing techniques you learn will encourage you to develop a unique style that you enjoy, in any way you want to record it.
Remember; Henry Thoreaux, a very famous nature journaler, drew a flock of birds in flight using the classic M and V style (image from www.walden.org).
