Nature Mindfulness

You are invited to a small group experience where we tune-in deeply to our natural world through a variety of nature-connection practices and learn techniques that can be incorporated anytime.  (Even when we are living in a busy city!)  

You are guided by an experienced ecopsychologist uitlising practices and activities aiming to deepen our ecological awareness. We explore sensory perception and presence, intuition and inner wisdom, and strengthening relationships with nature, self, and community.  

A large body of scientific research spanning over 40-years notes the benefits nature has on our health and wellbeing, including:

  • reduced depression, anxiety, stress, mental fatigue, and anger.
  • improve mood, sleep, cognitive functioning, and creativity.
  • boostered Immune functioning
  • increased energy levels and reduced symptoms associated with ADHD, trauma, and addiction.

DATES/TIMES/LOCATION:   Usually events are in Sth East Melbourne/Naarm and surrounds (TBC depending on weather and participant numbers)  

  • Please see individual dates/times as noted on specific date. (1.5 - 2.5 hour sessions) 
  • You will be contacted with the exact location and meeting place 5-days prior to event.  

PARTICIPANTS: Nature Mindfulness is a small group experience. Maximum 10 people.  Suitable for ages18+ 

BOOKING/FEES:  Bookings close 2 days before each event date. 

  • Regular sliding scale from $20. Greensong recognises what is affordable for some can be a financial strain for others, therefore a tiered pricing structure allows those with greater means to provide more generous community support. 
  • Kinfolk subscribers FREE (5 Kinfolk per group)
  • A portion of Greensong fees goes to support not-for-profit organizations as noted here
  • If you are unwell on the day, please do not attend, please cancel your ticket or contact Deb for a full refund. How to cancel ticket
  • 80% refund for cancellations up to 1 day prior to event. 
  • Please email Deb for a transfer of booking dates if you cannot attend on the day due to unforeseen circumstances. 
  • Greensong will refund or transfer your ticket if the weather is extreme or we need to cancel the event for any reason.

THEMES: We incorporate ecopsychology practices and activites into each session:

  • Sept: Sit Spot exploring the 54 senses
  • Oct: Natural Attraction Trail
  • Nov: Summer Practice (eco-art therapy)
  • Dec: Kinfolk Meet-up (No practice - Social gathering) 
  • Jan: "Becoming The Acts Around You"
  • Feb: "Dear Nature"
  • Note: Practices as noted may sit under the SOS Eco-Resilience project to assist people with maintaining their wellbeing, perspective and purpose with concerns around the climate and ecological crisis.
