Nature Nights at The NEST: Carnivorous Plants
Event description
Join us at The NEST at Robinson Preserve for an exciting new lecture series that features local experts in the fascinating realms of science, nature, and history. Whether you’re a lifelong learner or simply curious, these talks are designed to engage and inspire! Our March lecture will feature Kenny Coogan, Education Director of the International Carnivorous Plant Society and owner of a carnivorous plant nursery in Tampa, FL. Discover how these incredible species have evolved unique adaptations to capture and digest prey. Learn about where these plants can be found in the wild and the important role they play in the environment. In addition to the lecture, our speaker will have live carnivorous plants and his book, Florida’s Carnivorous Plants, available for purchase.  Â
