Curious about what lives in your home and neighbourhood?
Come along on Wednesday, 13 August to the Port Environment Centre for an evening of nature, creativity and connection.

 

Here’s what’s happening:
4:00 – 5:30pm | Nature Art – T-Shirt Painting for misunderstood creatures
Bring a t-shirt if you like or choose one from our Community Clothes Share.

5:00 – 6:00pm | Eco-Discussion
This month’s topic –

Article 1: Everybody has a spider story, but these amazing creatures are often misunderstood

Article 2: Not just bees and butterflies: beetles and other brilliant bugs are nature’s unsung pollinators

5:30 – 7:30pm | Living with Things that Bite or Sting
Learn from expert Geoff Coombe how to identify and respond to local venomous creatures, with first aid tips in case of bites or stings.

This session is especially for young people to become nature stewards as part of National Science Week, but everyone in the community is welcome.

 

Light supper will be provided

Come spend time off-screen and connect with others in the community
