Nature Photography on your Smart Phone
Event description
Blending the best of botanical knowledge and the art of the perfect photograph, renowned wildflower phone photographer Sophie Xiang shares her secrets to taking the perfect photograph on your smartphone. This hands-on workshop includes basic theory about photography fundamentals, tips and tricks to get the best out of your smart phone camera, and finishes with a walk around outdoors to put your newly acquired skills to use.
Sophie Xiang has run workshops across the state including Mullewella, Ravensthorpe, Busselton, Northcliffe and Albany for many different organisations and groups. She has no academic photographic or botanical background and is entirely self-taught in both fields. Her story has been featured on Gardening Australia, ABC’s premiere TV gardening program. Her work has also been selected for exhibit at renowned art exhibitions, evidence of the quality work that smartphone photography can produce.
All you need is your smart phone, something to take notes on if you wish, and shoes suitable for hiking.
