Nature playgroup- Armstrong Creek
Event description
KIN Nature Playgroup, term two, 2023
Our nature playgroup is for families with children aged zero - four years.
Our sessions are designed to provide children with opportunities to engage in free, unstructured nature play and self-directed adventure. They may choose to climb trees, play in our mud kitchen or even explore the local bushland. Each session follows a relaxed rhythm that revolves around shared seasonal songs, a communal morning tea, nature craft and exploration, and a shared seasonal story.
Unlike traditional playgroups, we are a 100% all-weather, outdoor playgroup with sessions running rain or shine.
Why attend our playgroup?
Various studies have shown that children who are given the opportunity to be outdoors and play in nature are:
- Sick less often
- Have increased imagination and creativity
- More resilient and resistant to stress
- Are more physically active; and
- Learn how to assess risk intuitively
