The Australian wildflower paintings of Rosa Fiveash and Ellis Rowan come together for the first time in this landmark exhibition exploring South Australia’s rich botanical collections. Challenging Victorian conventions, Ellis Rowan travelled widely and enjoyed international acclaim for her wildflower paintings, and the work of Rosa Fiveash attracted the interest of Australia’s leading botanists.

Vibrant and painterly, Rowan’s large watercolours of wildflowers are exhibited with the delicate botanical paintings of South Australian artist Fiveash. For many this will be the first opportunity to marvel at the botanical art created by these two inspiring women. Luminous, exquisite and meticulous, their watercolours reveal some of Australia’s most beloved and endangered native flora.

Entry to exhibition must be made on the day that the ticket has been purchased for.

Please choose carefully. All bookings are final; no refunds or transfers once tickets have been purchased.

Please note you will not receive tickets with your booking confirmation. When you arrive, please give your name at the front desk.

Guided Tours

Each Thursday, join one of our volunteer guides on a tour of the exhibition. Bookings can be made by selecting the 11:30am - 12:30pm time slot when purchasing a ticket. Price is the same as the entrance fee. You are welcome to enter the exhibition before the guided tour begins, and to carry on viewing the exhibition after the guided tour finishes.

Parking

Limited free parking is available onsite for visitors to David Roche Gallery.

Disabled Access

Disabled car parking is available. The gallery accommodates wheelchair access however mobility scooters are not suitable. Both ambulant and non-ambulant toilets are available.
