Event description

Explore how art can help build your relationship to the natural world. Be wildly inspired by Artist Robert Bateman, current exhibition at PAG. Participants ages 18+ of all levels of experience are invited to Nature sketching and Journaling in this four-week progressive class for adults. Maggie is a former Robert Bateman Nature Sketch Program Educator. 

Note: This is a special invitation for you and your friends because you have participated in our Creative Wellness Workshop or met Maggie Chow in person.  You will have one free class during the session. Please choose the DATE that you would like to join me. Total of 4 classes session is $145 with discount one free class is $ 108.75. Invoice will be sent once you registered. If you choose to accept this invitation and enjoy one free class. You are most welcome to do so.  

Participants will engage in a fun four-week outdoor session from Sept 29- Oct 27 at 10-11:30 am Sunday ( Sept 29, 6, 20 and 27 )

• Explore and understand artist’s tools and materials

• Discover Sketching can improve the Art of Seeing and Experiential drawing

• Learn about values and shading and recognize expressive lines related to emotions

• Apply strategies and approaches to incorporate into a daily routine

• Play through weekly creative challenges

• Share with other participants to build Community of Practice

• Learn to think like an artist and gain a new perspective on making creativity visible every day.

*Please note all sessions are completely outdoors and held at the Japanese Garden. We will meet at the front door of the Penticton Art Gallery.
