Sessions presented by Viva Kinect and facilitated by:

Debbie Scarfe - Occupational Therapist and Dance-Movement Therapist

I am very excited to be offering Nature Stories Creative Play sessions.

Connection with nature, the power of movement, honouring our unique selves, the freedom and insights of creative expression are common threads weaving through my life and career.

My business Viva Kinect currently offers paediatric OT and Creative Therapies for all ages and abilities.

In addition to my OT and DMT training I have pursued interests and training in Developmental Movement, Playback Theatre, Drama Therapy, Trauma informed care, Neuro-Affirming Practise, Group Work, Nature OT, Qigong Sensory Therapy and Somatics.

I truly believe one of my life purposes is to help people feel connected to themselves, to others and to their environment whilst bringing more function, joy and ease into their lives.

Joanne Strauss - Group Leader and Creative Writing Facilitator

Working in the media for 10 years led me to teaching adult literacy at TAFE and creative writing with groups in the community. Extra Lessonâ„¢ developmental work with children, Landcare and bush regeneration were also grounding, body-mind nourishment. Training in Steiner education and dramatherapy opened the doors wide to my own creativity, as well as helping me to experience that Nature and the Cosmos are not separate to human life. We are interwoven with it. Disconnection makes us ill.

There is a magic that happens in groups around any form of creative expression! And using found natural objects reawakens our primal senses of touch, wonder, and play. Somehow, they also guide us to a story that has meaning for us, simple but profound.
