Nature walk at Murrk Ngubitj
Description
Join us for a walk at this recently created nature reserve ‘Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk’ in Wadawurrung language ‘head waters of the ever-flowing creek’. This former Barwon Water reservoir has surprising biodiversity gems, with naturally regenerating native plants, and some very special bird life. It also has the South African weed orchid, which the Friends have been trying to get under control. Come and get your eye in for weed orchids and native sun orchids, and hear the sounds of 100s of frogs calling. Wear long sleeved shirts, long pants and covered shoes to protect against mozzies and other bities.
After the walk you are invited back to Bernie and Gens place around the corner
