NatureTrackers Together 2026
NatureTrackers Together: both online and in-person at multiple venues
Help track and guide Tasmanian threatened species conservation!
Are you new to NatureTrackers' community threatened species monitoring surveys? Or have you already got involved?
In either case, this free, hybrid event – both online, and in-person around the state – is for you! NatureTrackers have been in action all across Tasmania since 2018. On 15th November, you have a special opportunity to learn what everyone's contributions have achieved so far.
Where? Where? Wedgie! | CallTrackers | Claws on the Line
For the first time, the results of eight years (2019-26) of NatureTrackers' annual surveys will be announced – for the Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle and three other species. And there will be updates on the mapping of burrowing crayfish burrows, and most recently the tracking of noisy but elusive species using sound recorders.
Hear from species experts, learn from other NatureTrackers, and get an idea of what’s involved in threatened species monitoring – and why volunteering your time to do this is both a lot of fun and really important.
There’s a quiz too!
Anyone can be a part of NatureTrackers – so book today to join in on the NatureTrackers Together event. Whether you've only just heard of us, or you're an old hand, you'll find wonderful inspiration here.
See below for details of the in-person locations.
Plans for the overall event are still growing! We'll share any major updates (e.g. additional venues) to ticket holders and on NatureTrackers' social media.

Support
NatureTrackers comprises the Bookend Trust’s overall program of ‘citizen science’ projects, run entirely by volunteers – coordinating schools and the community to track the status of our threatened species and better understand their needs. We define a citizen scientist as a potential, amateur, or professional scientist, often learning from and collaborating with others, volunteering their time to conduct scientific work.
This event is funded by Inspiring Tasmania.
