About VALID Conversations Webinars

VALID Conversations is a new webinar series led by people with disability.

Each webinar focuses on real issues, lived experience and practical ways to create change. It’s a space for people to share ideas, speak up and be heard.

Led by lived experience. Focused on real change.

VALID Conversations aims to centre the voices of people with disability and position them as leaders and experts. The series will explore current issues, highlight what’s working and share practical solutions that can make a difference.

It also builds on the conversations started at events like Advocacy in Action, creating an ongoing space for connection, learning and leadership throughout the year.

Webinar Description

The NDIS is changing, and these changes are already having an impact on the social and community supports people rely on to get out, connect with others and take part in their communities.

In this webinar, we’ll have an open and honest conversation about what these changes are actually like for people and families. Our guest speakers will share their experiences of how changes to social and community supports have affected their lives, their families and their ability to participate in their communities.

We’ll talk about what people can do to navigate the changes moving forward. As many details about the changes are still developing, the conversation will focus on the information currently available and practical ways people can prepare, understand their options, speak up about their needs and seek support.

This webinar will be moderated by John McKenna
