Event description

Join us for a supportive program where teens can connect, share their experiences, and learn how to navigate life with vision loss. Facilitated by the GDV Wellbeing Team and two young adults with lived experience, this space is all about real talk – from mental health struggles and coping strategies to building friendships, advocating for yourself, and setting goals for the future. Through chill discussions, role-playing, and hands-on activities, teens will explore how to manage stress, handle awkward social situations, communicate with family, and develop the confidence to speak up for what they need. It’s all about creating a supportive community, building independence, and taking on the challenges of vision loss with strength and support.

This session is aimed at supporting teens aged 13-18.
