NAWIC & NZIOB Panel Discussion: Construction Risk Allocation

Theatre Royal Gloucester Room
Add to calendar

Event description

The NZIOB Southern Region Committee is hosting a joint event with NAWIC to explore Construction Risk Allocation.

Are standardised industry agreements fair for all parties and projects? Is standardisation actually realistic? Should consultant IP be protected or more freely shared? What are the cost implications? If my insurer can’t fully protect me, how do I go about mitigating or re-allocating procurement risk and liability?

A panel of industry leaders has been selected to discuss this vital topical issue and share their insights, with a war story or two.

Panelists

  • Donald Gardner – Head of Construction, Marsh Limited
  • Gary Walker – CEO Leighs Construction Limited
  • Russell Pyne – Regional Manager for Fletcher Living (former General Manager Development Ngai Tahu)
  • Ann Williams – Manager Geotechnical and Technical Fellow at BECA
  • Colin Corsbie – Technical Principal, Architecture WSP

Barrister Richard Johnstone from Left Bank Chambers (who many of you will know from our Legal Breakfasts) will be compère for the session.

We are grateful to our generous sponsors for this event – Marsh Limited & Buchan.
