NBM SOS Centre Working Bee

Join us for a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the grand opening of the new Sanctuary of Stillness (SOS) retreat centre at Newburry Buddhist Monastery (NBM)! The grand opening ceremony, led by the esteemed Ajahn Brahm, will take place on Sunday, 26th January 2025. In preparation for this significant event, NBM is calling upon volunteers to assist in finalizing the retreat centre’s readiness from 11th to 12th January 2025.

Volunteer tasks include:

• Cleaning and clearing the space
• Assembling furniture
• Setting up canopies
• Checking for defects
• Participating in a mock retreat to ensure everything is perfect

Your support will help us create a serene and welcoming environment for this special occasion. Food and accommodations will be provided at the monastery, but please bring your own bathroom necessities and clothes for an overnight stay.

Additionally, carpooling arrangements to the monastery will be available, and more details will be shared a few days before the retreat through an email or Whatsapp group invitation.
