Travel instructions

The National Circus Festival is located in the Mullumbimby Showgrounds. The entry gate is via Chinbible Avenue. There is accessible parking for vehicles; however, there is no public transport to the event.

Entry instructions

Enter via Spaghetti Circus, Mullumbimby Showgrounds gate via Chinbible Avenue, Mullumbimby NSW. Best access is via personal car or by foot.

After entry instructions

Follow road through the gate, parking crew will provide information on where to park.

Hazards

There are gravel and dirt paths throughout the site. Please take weather into consideration when deciding on what equipment to bring with you, the weather can have an effect on mobility around the site. Flashing lights, haze or loud music-please see website for more information on shows. Some areas of lower light/ vision.

Toilet location

Accessible toilets and shower are located on the North side of the main toilet block. Please see box office or follow directional signs with universal sign for access.

Accessible parking

A drop-off/pick-up zone is located close to the festival entrance. In front of the box office, there are 10 spots reserved for accessible parking. Please follow directions from parking staff. Our parking volunteers can assist and direct you accordingly. Please clearly display your disability parking permit.

Auslan Interpretation

Selected sessions from the main program will be interpreted in Auslan. These will be included in our festival program and on our website. Patrons can also bring their interpreters on a free carer’s pass to the festival.

Wheelchair Accessibility at the Festival

The Festival site is located at Mullumbimby Showground. The terrain is largely flat and grassy, but there are sections with uneven ground, trees, and natural inclines that can become more difficult to navigate in a wheelchair.

Seating

Festival venues have allocated seating for wheelchairs. Please make yourself known to the front-of-house staff, and you will be ushered to an accessible seat.

Companion Cards

The National Circus Festival participates in the National Companion Card scheme, which offers patrons with disabilities who hold a current companion card a second ticket for their accompanying companion at no charge. When you arrive, please make your way to the festival box office and present your National Companion Card and your festival ticket to our friendly staff. You will be allocated a complimentary pass for your companion. There is a limit of one companion pass per person per day. Assistance Animals

Assistance animals are welcome at the festival site.

Training Program

The indoor venues have access via concrete or asphalt paths. Once inside, some firm matting may need to be traversed. Outdoor venues are accessed across grass or gravel. These can be very difficult to cross in extremely wet weather. Please contact us to let us know any specific accessibility requirements.
