This is a free online event for people with disability, their families, and carers, and others who are interested.

The 'National Disability Insurance Scheme – Home and Living Supports' session is a presentation and discussion on accessing NDIS home and living supports. We will look at:

  • How the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can assist you with Home & Living supports - from funding of specialist disability accommodation, to assistance with ‘individualised living options’
  • How to apply for Home & Living supports
  • Making complaints regarding housing and support provision
  • Pending changes to the NDIS

'National Disability Insurance Scheme – Home & Living Supports' is one of a series of sessions being delivered through the Opening the Door project for Victoria. Other online sessions include a session on pathways to housing, and one on dealing with tenancy issues. Online sessions will be recorded to view after the events.

The online sessions will be followed by two face-to-face workshops:

  • Melbourne CBD: Tuesday 21 February, 10:00am - 2:00pm
  • Bendigo: Thursday 23 February, 10:00am - 2:00pm
