If you are a person with disability who wants to know more about home modifications and assistive technology that may be funded by the NDIS, then this session is for you.

This free online session is for people with disability, their families, and support workers. While support coordinators, allied health professionals, and support providers are welcome to attend, our Housing Hub Training sessions may better meet their needs.

Join us and learn about:

  • Making your home more accessible to you with NDIS-funded home modifications
  • Assistive technology (AT) the NDIS may pay for to support you to live more independently
  • The difference between home modifications, home adaptations and AT
  • Accessibility changes to the National Construction Code 
  • What types of homes the NDIS may fund home modifications and AT for: New homes? Rental properties? Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)?
  • The processes and evidence you need for getting home modifications and AT funded in your NDIS plan
  • How to choose a provider for your home modifications or AT

Access:

- Please tell us your access needs when you register

- We use Zoom for our online sessions

- You will need a computer, tablet or smartphone that has an internet connection.

- You do not need Zoom on your computer. You can copy a link into your internet browser (eg Chrome, Safari, Firefox).
