Event description

Are you aware of your legal responsibilities as a Key Personnel or a Director of a NDIS Company?

It is essential that you fully understand your NDIS responsibilities, as well as other federal and state statutory and common law requirements.

With the ongoing changes in the NDIS sector and increasing regulatory scrutiny, it’s never been more important to ensure you are informed, compliant, and confident in your leadership role.

This essential workshop will explore:

  • The legal and governance responsibilities of Key Personnel and Directors

  • Specific compliance obligations under the NDIS Practice Standards

  • An overview of key regulatory frameworks including ASIC and Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws

  • Insights into statutory and common law obligations

  • Practical guidance for meeting governance and regulatory requirements

  • The risks and penalties of non-compliance, including real-world case studies

  • An opportunity to ask questions and discuss challenges in a supportive, expert-led environment

This session is vital for ensuring NDIS compliance, safeguarding participants’ rights, and protecting organisational integrity.

Be proactive. Be informed. Be accountable.

Director, Sharon, and the EFQC team have decades of experience across the human services sector.

EFQC has been around since the inception of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), was actively involved in consultations to determine what NDIS Quality & Safeguards requirements would apply, and have since supported hundreds of providers through the transition to the NDIS.

We are currently the go to consultants for the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) in training all Auditors, with some of the best auditors on our team. Additionally, we also have the participant perspective covered as many on our team are also NDIS participants.
