NDIS OT Community of Practice Event: The Road Ahead
Event description
Welcome to our NDIS OT Community of Practice event
Thursday September 5th, 2024
2024 has been a rollercoaster year for the NDIS so far! We understand our NDIS OT Community of Practice occupational therapists have worked hard to support participants, navigate the highs and lows, and have a voice in NDIS reform. We also understand there are many questions around what reform may mean for access to NDIS supports including occupational therapy. Our September 2024 event focuses on The Road Ahead for the NDIS, following the recent passage of the NDIS Amendment Bill.
We're beyond excited to announce our speakers!
Firstly, we will have Senator Jordon Steele-John, disability advocate, and Greens Senator, join us to share his thoughts, reflections and advice on the road ahead for the NDIS, and broader disability reform. We are grateful to Senator Jordon for his generosity and support. This is the third consecutive year he has joined our Community of Practice to share his insights, humour and passion. Senator Jordon is keen to engage directly with our audience so please come prepared with your questions – everything you ever wanted to know about NDIS reform!
PLUS we will have four excellent OT speakers detailed below, each sharing perspectives on challenges and opportunities ahead and how occupational therapists across all areas of practice, can plan and prepare.
