Consultation on Disability Services Act Review

Communities Tasmania is currently viewing the Disability Services Act 2011.
The DSA covers specialist disability services that are:
• funded by the Tasmanian Government
• provided directly by the Tasmanian Government and
• registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Tasmania.
There are seven discussion topics outlined in the DSA Review Discussion Paper:
- Inclusion, accessibility and leadership
- Principles which support the rights of people with disability
- The DSA, NDIS and other national disability programs
- Quality and safeguards
- Regulation of providers
- Creating a Tasmanian Disability Commissioner
- Supported decision making and consultation
NDS wants to hear the views of members to inform our submission.
