Nearby Nature Walkshop
Event description
Nature can be a place of mindfulness and healing, and we're totally surrounded by it. Although sometimes, we may not always consider the opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect with wildlife and nature.
Together, we'll grow an appreciation of the environment by learning about local birds, insects, trees & plants, and ecology (how nature interacts with itself). We'll also have a Smoking Ceremony (First Nations custom to cleanse and ward off bad spirits), explore mindfulness through a sketching activity, learn how to contribute to citizen science, and finish the day with traditional basket weaving.
Light refreshments (bush tucker) will be provided.
