Needles 101: The Ins and Outs

Studio of Secrets in collaboration with The Stencil Lab are thrilled to present this Needles 101 class presented by one of Melbourne's most infamous and well-respected needle tops - Paradax.

In this two and a half hour class, Paradax will break down the basics to get you started in this incredible form of play that can be sensual or sadistic, but always artistic. Within this class, Paradax will include a description and discussion about needle play as well as a demonstration of needle play. This will include all set up and preparation, techniques for needle application, a discussion on aftercare, and the pack down and cleaning required post-play. There will also be an opportunity for those interested to partake in some needle play (Top/bottom).

There is no obligation to partake in any practical portion of this class - participants are welcome to come along with the desire to watch and observe only.

A starter needle kit will be included in the ticket price which includes 50 x hypodermic needles of varying gauges/lengths, a sharps container, and skin-prep alcohol wipes.

Participants interested in attending June’s ‘Needles 102 – Techniques for Decorative Needles and Stencils’ are encouraged to utilise these kits to begin practicing in the month between these classes.

Tickets are available for one class, or if you're interested in both, you can buy a pass to both classes at a discounted rate.

About Your Presenter:

Paradax is a needle play enthusiast from Melbourne, Australia, specialising in decorative needles and stencil work. Her love for needle play began in 2017, with the past 12 months being instrumental in her focus on precise sharps play. Together with her partner, she began The Stencil Lab at the end of 2024, with the intent of sharing unique designs and sparking excitement amongst the needle play community. Paradax has experience teaching sharps within her local community, and in online forums - centered by her desire to inspire confidence in the wider sharps community.
