Neighbourhood Story Slam - Wānaka - Celebrations

We're stoked to be coming back over the hill to Wānaka for our second slam! Come join us for another night of story slam magic in the Malt Room at Rhyme x Reason Brewery.

Neighbourhood Story Slam is a live community event in which storytellers share a true, personal, lived 5-7 minute story on the night's theme.

"CELEBRATIONS": Prepare a seven-minute story about the moments that bring us together: the birthdays, weddings, Christmas feasts, New Year’s countdowns, family traditions, and celebrations, big or small, that left a mark. From tinsel and toasts to turkey dramas and surprise guests, we want to hear about the celebrations that shaped you, tested you, or reminded you what really matters.

Whether you celebrated with noise or stillness, with a crowd or alone, we want to hear about it. Stories of joy, disaster, nostalgia, family, and the rituals that remind us who we are, all welcome.

Doors Open: 7:00 PM

Stories Starts: 7:30 PM

Sign up on the night for a chance to tell a story or sit back and enjoy the show!

Storytellers score a free ticket and can bring a +1!

Inspired by The Moth, join us as we celebrate human connection and the art of storytelling.
