Neil Douglas: Heide Gardener, artist and pioneering environmentalist
Neil Douglas was the Reeds' gardener at Heide from 1936–42 and played a formative yet little known role in the creation of the landscape. Join Heide’s Head Gardener David Murphy on a tour and talk about Douglas’s fascinating story, including his advocacy of sustainable living and bush conservation as well as his practice as an artist.
Garden tour starts outside main entrance, please go to front desk to receive entry wristbands. Please wear shoes suitable for walking.
