Neil Maizels seminar

The role of Disidentification in the growth of personality,

and particularly in the analytic termination process.

VAPP Member Neil Maizels will briefly overview his recent book: “The Life-Death Instinct. Feeling through the creative clinical moment”

He will then outline his concept of Disidentification, making a case for it being a necessary psychic achievement, par excellence, during the termination phase of psychoanalytic therapy.

To be chaired by Peter Joiner
