Neil Young's birthday bike party
Description
Celebrate the 81st birthday of the Canadian-American legend playing his songs during our slow, social ride around Lake Burley Griffin's central basin.
Our bike parties fight loneliness, foster social connection and conversation, and are a guided way to experience the National Triangle differently.
We ride in a clockwise direction around the basin, and stop at the National Gallery's sculpture garden to enjoy Ouroboros by Lindy Lee. Our ride's a loop and finishes at the Street Theatre, or the Mandalay Bus at Haig Park if there's demand for hot food.
We welcome your requests for our playlist. For an idea about what to expect, here’s one we held in Tuggeranong.
Bring your own cycle (rent a Lime one or try Cycle Canberra,), lights, and a jacket in case it's windy.
We welcome all people on all cycles, scooters, skates, and skateboards. Wear whatever is comfortable. Be yourself.
