Nelson Bay Short Break with Port Bus to Nelson Bay, Port Stephens. Thursday 22nd & Friday 23rd January 2026
Escape with Port Bus on a relaxing two-day adventure to the stunning Port Stephens region.
Enjoy a scenic morning tea stop at Wade Park in Buladelah before boarding a Moonshadow-TQC lunch cruise to soak in the beauty of Nelson Bay from the water. Visit the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary to meet these iconic Aussie residents, then settle in for the night at Hotel Nelson and savour a delicious dinner at the Seabreeze Hotel.
Day two begins with a hearty breakfast before taking on the breathtaking Tomaree Head Summit Walk for those feeling adventurous. We then head to Bob's Farm for an insightful tour of the Barramundi Farm, learning how these premium fish are sustainably raised. Wrap up your getaway with a hearty lunch at the Coopernook Hotel before our comfortable return journey home.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Departing Port Bus around 08:00. Morning tea from the coach will be @ Wade Park, Buladelah. Arriving at Nelson Bay around 12:30, we will board our vessel for our lunch onboard before setting off on the cruise at 13:30. Back on dry land around 15:00, we will make our way to the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary for our visit/tour. I bet you’ll be ready to check in by now at Hotel Nelson? Freshen up before dinner, which is at the Seabreeze Hotel a short 100 metre walk away.
Day 2: Breakfast is from 07:00 this morning. For those wishing to do the Tomaree Head Summit Walk, we will depart the Hotel @ 08:00.

The trail begins just off Shoal Bay Road, where parking is available. Enjoy walking up to Tomaree Head lookout shows off panoramic views of Port Stephens and its coastline with the shores of the Tasman Sea.
For those not joining us this morning, relax and enjoy at your leisure. We will check out and depart around 10:00. Over to the Barramundi Farm in Bob's Farm for a visit/tour. To finish a little soiree, we will enjoy lunch at the Coopernook Hotel. Drop-offs should commence around 15:30.

Cancellation fees will be levied relative to the amount of notice given:
42 days or more—loss of deposit
29-41 days: 50% of fare plus deposit
30 days before and the Day of departure: 100% of the fare.
In the case of concert or sporting tours, where admission tickets are purchased in advance, a minimum cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of admission ticket fees will apply.
Some accommodations require prepayment, and refunds will be subject to their conditions.
