Rising Arts Productions are proud to be heading back to Hatchetfield after their sold-out season of The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals with NERDY PRUDES MUST DIE.

Nerdy Prudes Must Die is a teen-slasher comedy about a group of geeks and their ghostly tormentor from the creators of The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals and Black Friday. When the biggest losers at Hatchetfield High unwittingly complete an ancient, evil ritual, they unleash an all- powerful, angry spirit with a grudge against nerds. That’s when Stephanie Lauter, Grace Chasity, and a cast of social rejects must fight to save themselves and nerdy prudes everywhere. But can any of them survive the fury of a bully from beyond the grave?

Nerdy Prudes Must Die was originally produced by StarKid Productions.

The show is recommended for ages 13+ and contains simulated violence, adult language, sexual situations, bullying, teen-death, frightening imagery, gunshot sounds, blood and gore. It is intended for mature audiences.

Best known for staging work fresh off Off-Broadway and cult favourites, Rising Arts are thrilled to be adding Nerdy Prudes Must Die to their long history of productions that include such hits as: American Psycho (Australian Amateur Premiere), We Are The Tigers (Australian Premiere), PUFFS, The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, Stranger Sings, KHAN!!! The Musical (International Premiere) and Heathers.

Rising Arts have produced several award nominated shows locally while also taking several shows to theatres in Sydney including stints at the Sydney Fringe Festival and Australian Improv Festival. In 2024, their musical American Psycho was chosen as one of Fourth Wall Reviews Musical of the Year. They’ve also received multiple award nominations from outlets such as the CAT Awards & BroadwayWorld across their near 10 year history.

VENUE INFORMATION

• Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance times. Start times are strict and lockouts will apply so please allow yourself enough time to make it to the theatre.

• No food or beverages (besides bottled water) are able to be consumed inside the auditorium.

• Best parking for the event can be found in the P4 parking zones.

• Nerdy Prudes Must Die is a community theatre production with no affiliation to the University of Wollongong.
