Nest and eggs: clay-making workshops at University Gallery
Event description
SECOND WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED!
You’re invited to an afternoon of clay-making, canapes and bubbles at the University Gallery at Callaghan Campus on Friday 24 March from 4pm-6pm.
This is a special alumni event in celebration of the artistic collaboration between storyteller Uncle John Gurri Kelly and Sydney-based artist Rena Shein.
Take a tour of the current exhibition Dunghutti bul bul which tells of ancient lore, stories and traditions from people that have lived on Dunghutti country on the Mid-North coast for centuries and partake in a contemplative clay making workshop shaped by Kelly’s Dunghutti story of the King of the Birds.
Rena Shein, a visual artist and art psychotherapist who works at the interface of contemporary art practice and art therapy, will lead the workshop.
Refreshments included. This event is a complimentary offering to University alumni plus one guest and has limited spaces available.
