Find out all about nest boxes in Wooragee
Event description
Come and find out about nest boxes in Wooragee.
Our facilitator Jim Blackney will show us who we have found using our nest boxes, talk about why nest boxes are good to put up on your property, where you get nest boxes, different designs for various animals, best location and best ways to attach them to trees.
He will show some local videos featuring nest box residents, and have the pole camera to use.
Our usual famous supper, so you can stay and catch up with people, will be provided.
It's free but we do need you to register.
Note this picture is one of our members who has a permit to monitor wildlife. We encourage you to avoid looking in nest boxes as it will disturb any wildlife who may be using them. We have a pole camera so you can look with minimal disturbance. The information gained by wildlife workers like Jerry help understand the health and numbers of the populations - which is very good in Wooragee.
